lack of appropriate action, occurring within any relationship where there is an

expectation of trust, which causes harm or distress to an older person. This type of

Major Auckland rail rebuild to start in 2023

Major upgrades to rail lines across Auckland will pave the way for more frequent commuter trains when the City Rail link opens and will help future-proof the rail network for decades to come.

The $330 million Rail Network Rebuild will see sections of rail lines across the city temporarily closed over the coming years, so that the rock foundations under the tracks can be removed and rebuilt.

The work will move progressively across the Auckland passenger rail network - starting in early 2023 with the section of the Southern Line between Ōtāhuhu and Newmarket and the Onehunga Line.

A visionary, who leads by his own example

Roshan Nauhria was the man who first saw the dream of having a Hindu temple for the Hindu community in New Zealand in 1986. He, along with his 4-5 likeminded friends, spared no stone unturned to make that dream a reality, which paved the way for opening of the first Hindu Mandir in New Zealand, Bharatiya Mandir (Indian Temple Inc.), in year 1993. Mr Nauhria was also instrumental in helping build the Gurudwaras in Hamilton. Otahuhu and the Kolmar Road in Papatoetoe and he has been a member of ISCON temple in Kumeu. Mr Nauhria regularly does charities in New Zealand and in India and helps several organisations and charity shows financially every year.

Bhartiya Samaj Charitable Trust commemorated World Abuse Awareness Day on Saturday, 12th June 2021, at a Senior Citizens meeting held at Mt Roskill War Memorial Hall. The event became a great success with the presence of over 200 members and honourable dignitaries: Puketapapa Chair Hon Julie Fairey and local board members Harry Doig, Bobby Chen and Ella Kumar, Ethnic Responsiveness Manager Jessica Phuang from NZ Police, Hetal Jani from ANZ bank and Judge Ajit Swaran Singh who joined hands to address this crucial issue.
