Modi mania grips Sydney !

May 16, 2023

It was nothing but sheer spectacle of Modi magic that was evident at the Qudos Bank Arena at Sydney Olympic Stadium in Sydney where a sea of Modi Modi chanting diaspora crowd created euphoria that happens very seldom in a lifetime. It may not even happen in someone’s wild imagination 8,000 miles away from home land in distant land of Australia.

Everyone present at the arena was mesmerised as PM Narendra Modi made his grand entry into arena and the chant of Modi-Modi just kept getting louder and faster. The Australian Prime Minister present at the event visibly looked amused that it’s all happening in his own country and that was not for him. An almost packed stadium of 25,000 capacity waited patiently with bated breath for 3 hours for their leader who has given them the opportunity to feel proud about their motherland. This was second time in Sydney after the maiden visit of Narendra Modi months after getting elected Prime Minister of India in 2014. On both the occasions Modi’s visit created the same frenzy, same spark and same euphoria within the diaspora community of Australia.

Situations are changing at a very rapid pace in the political and social framework in India these days. No one can guess or anticipate what may change the next minute and how a certain section of our population will react. Vested interests are trying hard to create chaos at any opportunity. Political parties small or big, gang up against Modi government for anything this government does even if that makes the opposition parties go against the nation.

Nature's fury over New Zealand
News
Feb 2, 2023

It was one of those once in a lifetime calamity which every New Zealander and Aucklander in particular would want to forget as a nightmare. What people of New Zealand witnessed last week cannot be described as anything but the nature’s fury. The torrential rains that lashed Auckland and other parts of New Zealand created havoc in the country. The scenes of devastation in the aftermath of the torrential rains in Auckland and other parts of North Island are heart wrenching. People living in those areas and on the properties for as long as 40-50 lost everything to the engulfing and gushing streams after the heavy downpour in and around Auckland.

Major Auckland rail rebuild to start in 2023
A Better NZ, News
Oct 3, 2022

Major upgrades to rail lines across Auckland will pave the way for more frequent commuter trains when the City Rail link opens and will help future-proof the rail network for decades to come.

The $330 million Rail Network Rebuild will see sections of rail lines across the city temporarily closed over the coming years, so that the rock foundations under the tracks can be removed and rebuilt.

The work will move progressively across the Auckland passenger rail network - starting in early 2023 with the section of the Southern Line between Ōtāhuhu and Newmarket and the Onehunga Line.

He said he understands the pain and anguish of those migrants who are stuck overseas due to Labour government’s insensitivity towards migrants. He said government’s approach of slow processing of migrants’ application was very much in place even before Covid struck. The visa processing period was increased from 50 to 100 days much before Covid arrived in the country. This is all happening when there is an acute shortage of skilled and non-skilled labour in the country and every single sector of the economy is badly suffering due to this shortage and this is badly impacting New Zealand economy.
