The tone is set for 2024 Lok Sabha elections
The results of 2 state elections Gujrat and Himachal Pradesh and Delhi Municipal Corporations are out now, and the outcome of these results has been a mixed bag for all parties. BJP desperately wanted to win Himachal Pradesh elections but lost by a margin of less than 1% votes to Congress party. In Delhi body elections also, BJP increased its votes share by 3% while AAP lost its vote share from the last assembly elections by 12% but BJP still lost the MCD elections. So overall, even despite increased vote share, BJP lost in one state and in MCD elections. So, it’s bit of a disappointing situation for the ruling party.
What BJP has done in Gujrat is something that has actually set the tone for next Lok Sabha elections of 2024. The party has created history in Gujrat elections by securing a record 53% of vote share and registering a straight seventh record win in a row. What happened in Gujrat is just unprecedented and despite the party ruling state for 27 long years, these results are nothing sort of a miracle. These results are a clear reflection of the personal chemistry and the connect of one man, Narendra Modi, with the people of Gujrat. The turf prepared in last few months by the opposition combined led by AAP against Mr Modi was so robust that it gave a false impression to even political pundits of BJP losing ground there. The number of seats BJP won is a historic record since the state of Gujarat was formed in May 1960. The results are also a clear indication that Narendra Modi has no competition for him for next 10-15 years especially when it comes to leading the country.
The worst thing about India’s opposition parties is that most of the parties are self-centric and none of them bother even on sensitive matters like national security. The grand old Congress party can’t think beyond one family and its similar situation with other parties as well. Most political parties run their party like a family enterprise and are busy looting country’s resources. The common man now understands the difference between a party that delivers on its promises and others who make promises only to get votes. People of country can now see the changes that have taken place in India during the 8 years regime of NDA government. it’s just the Modi haters who have turned myopic and cannot see anything good. This is perhaps the worst opposition the country has ever seen in the history. The clueless opposition has started working against the nation while opposing Narendra Modi. Its so ironic that when the entire world today looks up to Mr Modi for his guidance, some ill-informed and misguided Indians still oppose him due to their vested interests.
The world is already sitting at the brink of another world war that can escalate at any time. NATO countries are happy fuelling the war and constantly keep blaming Russia for it. This dirty politics of countries with vested interests is set to destroy the humanity and the world. In these tough times world really need some visionary people like Narendra Modi who can steer through the humanity from present crisis. If we want to save the world from a certain catastrophe that looms on the horizon, responsible people will need to rise to the occasion. If we look at the recent history of the world no war between two countries has stretched as far as between Russia and Ukraine. This is certainly not a good omen since this war is now gradually turning into a matter of prestige and survival for both the countries.
The greed and hunger of countries like US and China for more power has brought the world to this situation today. Both countries are exactly same when it comes to exploiting smaller nations and taking advantage of their vulnerability. We hope these countries soon start behaving in a more responsible manner to make this world a better place to live for all. I wish and pray the new year of 2023 brings peace, hope and joy for the world.
