The annual 3-in-1 – Mushaira, Kavi Sammelan and Sham-e-Ghazal, will be held on Nov 21 this year

According to the Urdu Hindi Cultural Association of New Zealand, its flagship and hugely popular three-in-one annual event – Mushaira, Kavi Sammelan and Sham-e-Ghazal – which is in its ninth year now, will take place on November 21, this year.

Syed Mujeeb, Secretary of the Association, informed this after a meeting held on June 6. “As our aim is to identify, prepare and support new literary talent and then introduce them to the community; we request Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi poets from all over New Zealand to express their interest in participating in the event.” Last date to register is November 1, 5pm, and the event will be held at Auckland’s Fickling Centre.
