Naaree day celebrations in all glitz and glamor

Naaree day took place on last Saturday 10th April at Blockhouse Bay community centre to celebrate Naaree (ladies) day. The event was organised by Kashika Singh, Gargi Trivedi and her team. It was good to see the event organised by the women for the women. The event had performances by ladies of the community and recognition followed later that afternoon.

Women empowerment and boost to their activities, be it social, economic, or artistic, was evident. With such glitz and glamor, it was hard to ignore all the efforts put to bring out such a successful event.

It was heartening to see that even though it was a harsh and gloomy weather outside, ladies in the event were having a blast! All the good food and shopping just made it even more worth it. And then catching up with your girl gang is the best thing you can plan for your weekend. -Vritti Parasher
